Stars of the Show

Solace is a red cattle dog mix born in 2017 and adopted from a rescue (ARDRA) as a puppy in 2017. He is beautiful, dramatic, anxious, and loving (in his own special way). Sol loves his sisters, but loves his mama more than anything. Like, it's borderline a problem how much this dog loves me lol He's a good boy, despite how nuts he drives me sometimes!

Fate is a white and black polkadotty rez mutt born in 2019 and pup-napped (rescued) from a parking lot, with a busted back leg, at roughly 4 months old. This girl is snuggly, awkward, funny, and loyal. She LOVES her kitty and they play like they're the same species. She's also very protective of her sensitive older brother. She is my heart and soul dog, truly.

Lu is a little sandy colored chihuahua pekingese mix born in 2017 and adopted in 2019 from the humane society I was working at at the time (DHS). She is independent, fiesty, demanding, bossy, and above all, unbearably adorable! She'd sell me for a belly rub in a heartbeat and I love that about her!

Hudson is an itty bitty buff colored kitty born in 2020 who showed up on my doorstep at about 8 months old, hungry and filthy, and never left (despite me trying to adopt him out to a friend- thank goodness THAT didn't work out!). He is the most affectionate of my crew; he's sweet, silly, talkative, and snuggly. He loves to hide when I bring the dogs back in from walks and then zoom out and pounce on them. He also loves to sleep on my face.

I loved this photo I got of Solace half in the light. Isn't he so handsome??
These kids have sooo many sleepy-space options and yet choose to pile on top of each other on the rocker that was handcrafted by my grandpa. Talk about special! 🥰
We haven't hiked anywhere new in ages! Thanks Mere for the adventure ☺️
I love it when they all pass out together like this!
Simply put? She's 😎too cool😎 for school!
Solace, Fate, and I had a litle beach adventure the other day and met some new friends. Fate found lots of stinky dead things to roll in, too. Yum!
*UGLY crying over how freaking sweet they are* 🥹
This kid was like, 'Ma why are you sittin' on the floor??'
My little GREMLIN- I can't! I've never met a dog who sticks their tounge out as much as Lu does. It's almost like she's figured out that people find it adorable and so she does it more often to get even more attention. I wouldn't be surprised if that was what she chose to direct her limited intelect to! 😜
Walkies are fine, but a park run? Heeeeck yessss!
While I'm away tonight my mum, aka "grandma", is taking care of the animals for me. And let me tell you. They. Are. OBSESSED! I'm way more stressed by being away from them than they are by having me gone (which is an incredible wonderful thing, I'm so lucky to have such a great petsitter!).
Hudson loves when I'm home and in bed working on the site or anything else. He curls up against my leg and purrs himself to sleep. Melts my little heart every time! 🥹
Happy tired panting on the ride home from the park! Tongue Out Tuesday anybody??
Tiny dogs can do stuff too! Encouraging Lu to do the same sort of stuff the "big dogs" do really builds her confidence, not to mention that I love seeing her light up when she conqueres a harder challenge. I also love to let Lu explore on a longline. Having her attached to me keeps her safe from hawks and from simply wandering off, as she is apt to do, and having said attachment be a 30ft line gives her the freedom she so desperately wants!
The dogs met lots of new friends at Sheepfold today, but no one is friendlier than your besssst friend! Sometimes they even punch you in the face to show how much they love you! 😂
The dogs and I went to a local park to play fetch over and over and over and- you get the idea! They had a blast and I got some pretty sick photos of them.
